natalie strolled out of her room, glad that it was the weekend. she didn't have any class to worry about and she could do anything she wanted. as long as she followed the rules, or as long as she found a way to break the rules sneakily. not that natalie would ever break rules that were expulsion worthy. natalie might have been a bit of a troublemaker at times, but she would never go overboards. she wasn't that stupid. now natalie was just thinking about random stuff, but she couldn't help it. she was unbearably bored. many of her friends had gone off to hogsmeade and let her on her own. she would have gone as well but she wasn't really up for it. plus, she had gotten in trouble last week and she had been forbidden from going this weekend. it gave her an opportunity to sleep till she wanted, but after a while, it did get boring. which was why she was roaming the castle at the moment. a few other students had stayed behind but none that she knew.
she made her way from the dungeon to the second floor. once there, she was stopped by a couple of younger years that needed directions. she smiled as she waved them goodbye. she remember when she had been their age. for a first year, natalie knew alot about the school. mostly because she enjoyed exploring the castle when she should have been studying. natalie smiled at the memory as she continued making her way up the castle. unfortunately, she had landed herself on the fourth floor and right in peeves path. he was busy with some younger years so she was able to slip into the girl's restroom. once in there, she waited a good five minutes, then took care of her business, and then checked outside. it seemed the younger students had distracted peeves because they were no longer there. natalie smiled at their ingenuity before looking both ways and slipping out of the bathroom.
hopefully, she would make it up to the fifth floor without bumping into the poltergeist. she thought she made it until she bumped into someone. nat almost yelled, before she realized that she had bumped into a person. "damn it, i'm so sorry" nat said as she looked up at whoe she had bumped into.

Nick downed the last of his lunch before quickly getting up and making his way out of the Entrance Hall. It was a Hogsmeade weekend and he usually looked forward to those, to going down to the bar and getting wasted or just going and buying something for his girlfriend. They were like a breath of fresh air after a few weeks, and although he didn't mind going down to Hogsmeade any other day, the fact that it was a Hogsmeade weekend had it's own excitement, as if they were all kids again. But he hadn't had a good week and knowing nothing would cheer him up, he's convinced Darla to go with her friends and had decided to stay in the castle and spend the day by himself. It had been barely an hour and he was already bored.
Making his way up the many changing stairs he wondered to himself as to why he'd had such a bad week in the first place. It's not like Quidditch practice had been particularly disappointing, even if he was convinced they needed ten times the work out if they had any hopes of winning the next match. He hadn't failed any of his assignments, nor had he fought with Darla. He'd been feeling well too, nobody had attempted to his on his sister and his brother hadn't annoyed him either. Even his father hadn't written to him telling him what a disappointment he was. It should've been a good week, but he knew at the back of his mind why the week was bad. He just wouldn't admit it to himself. Shaking his head, he found himself on the fourth floor.
Shrugging, he decided to roam the floor, not having anything better to do anyway. He'd just made a turn when he saw Peeves, talking to some midgets - oh, sorry, kids - and he would've been on his way, except he was a prefect and was "obliged" to help them. Sighing, he walked towards them and said, in a sing song voice, "Oh Peeves..guess who just met the Bloody Baron down in the dungeons? I think he was looking for you," he taunted and just as expected he fled. He turned to the first years, who were looking up at him and he made a waving gesture. "Shoo..get out of here," not waiting to watch them scurry.
He'd just turned around when he ran headlong into a walking body who stumbled. His heart jumped, even though he kept his expression as straight at possible. None the less, she'd made him jump. He looked at the face and hissed. "Shit, Nat. You scared me! Why aren't you in the village?" he asked, sighing with relief as he realized it was only his best friend, who'd evidently stayed back. "What's up?" he asked, putting his hands in his pocket.

natalie didn't hate peeves like some of the other students, if anything she found him a bit amusing, at times. there were other tims when he constantly bothered her about how she was a poor excuse of a slytherin then blocked her path until she admitted it. she never actually did, she was lucky that the bloody baron almost always came around when she was there. either him or a teacher. it was like they constantly followed her to see that she wasn't causing some trouble. anyways, she really did no want to be bothered by peeves today. it looked like he was in a particularly humorous mood which would included poking fun at everyone, even the teachers if he had the chance. so she waited it out in the bathroom, getting bored of being there after only five minutes. she was more of a get in, get out girl. she hated waiting around with her friends in here, especially since they took hours. as if it was that long of a process.
she was glad that she had bumped into nick and not some annoying slytherin that was too caught up in this whole slytherins have to be bad thing. like really, just because she was a slytherin, didn't mean that nat had to be a total bitch. she could be that without being a slytherin. she was also glad because that meant she wouldn't have to be bored for the rest of the day. nick and nat could usually find something to do, that's what best friends did right? she was surprised he wasn't with darla. they were almost always together the times that natalie had seen them, so what made today different. maybe he got in trouble too natalie thought, though she wasn't sure if prefects actually got in trouble.
she would never find out, she wasn't really prefect material. "well it's nice to see you here too nick" natalie said sarcastically. "i thoght you have been happy to see me here. but if you must know, i got in trouble for... no i thnk it was the other thing... or maybe it was... well i got in trouble for something and i wasn't allowed to go this weekend." natalie was used to missing weekends by now, it usually happened every other time they had to go to hogsmeade, though she was getting better at convincing teachers that it would be good for her to go, better than staying here and causing more trouble.
"nothing, just trying to find something fun to do. and you? where's darla? were you forced to stay here too or what?" natalie asked, waiting till the end to give him time to answer her questions.
