It wasn't the nicest day. There was a chilly wind that really didn't bother him too much. He liked cold weather. Granted, it was better when there was snow on the ground, but it wasn't completely bad without it. In about a month or so, snow will start falling. At least that was what he was counting on. This day may not be the type of day some people would choose to spend outside, but with classes over and really nothing to do except homework, which Albus didn't want to do at that moment, he had decided to sit by the lake for a little while.
He went down to the dungeons briefly to drop off his bag, then he headed outside. The was one place on Hogwarts property he loved being. It had always been his favorite spot since he was a first year. It was the Black Lake. He liked to sit by it and watch the giant squid when it was on the surface. That day it wasn't, though. But the water was pretty choppy and he watched the waves. Okay, so it was pretty boring. Albus was going to have to come up with something fun to do... and fast.

Dom sniffled as she tied her hair up in a loose knot and pulled her scarf tighter around her neck. She had a cold and she wasn't particularly happy about it, because it gave her a headache and her chest hurt from coughing and her nose was all red. But she was sick of staying in the walls of her dorm and the fresh air was cool, but a nice change. As she made her way to the Black Lake, she let her feet carry her aimlessly, not in a straight line. It was the first time her mind was free from all tension and worry simply because she decided not to let it burden her. She was a little exhausted from wondering what Marcus was up to, or what Stefan thought of her or when Darla would come to her crying because of Nick or what she would wear to the ball. Not to mention, the heavy burden of OWLs on her shoulder. She spread her hands out, but her sweater fluttered her frame shuddered as she sniffed again.
She could see a small figure in green robes and she squinted, because the body looked familiar. She trudged closer, hoping it wasn't somebody she hated and stopped when she was close enough. "Al," she stated, despite knowing he preferred to go by his middle name. She'd never called him anything else and he knew it. "What're you doing here?" she asked.
It wasn't that she didn't like her cousin; it's just that she didn't particularly like him either. She'd never known him much apart from the other cousin at family gatherings who was her and Rox's age and she was okay with that because the crowd he associated with was the one which had gotten her into so much trouble and pain.

As he was considering who he should pull a prank on and what prank it would be, he heard someone come up to him. Albus didn't turn around to see who it was. He wasn't afraid of having someone at his back unless if he was dueling with someone. He knew it wasn't the safest thing, but he didn't mind. If he were to be attacked on school property, it would get him out of classes for a while and when he returned to school, he would get his revenge. Anonymous people wanting to attack him couldn't remain anonymous for too long. Albus had ways of figuring out who they were. Besides, attacking someone from behind made you a wimp. It was right up there with attacking a woman. Definitely not something that should be done.
Hearing his cousin's voice made him turn his head to her. "Dom," he said. He didn't like being called Al. Only a few special people could get away with it. She was his cousin, but that didn't mean she was among those people. Still, he wasn't going to sit there and argue with her over the name she chose to use. There were better things to talk about. Besides, no matter how much he argued with her, he knew she wouldn't stop calling him that. He was cursed with the name Albus. "I'm just sitting," he replied. "Nothing wrong with that. Not like there's anything better to do. What are you doing here?"
Sorry for the wait.
