It was Friday, all that was between Temperance and freedom for the weekend was five minutes of Transfiguration. Her worst subject, of course that would mean she should have it Friday afternoons. Sighing she looked down at the wooden square, the size of a small orange, that had awkwardly sprouted feathers. Today they were earning the Avifors Transfiguration; how to turn inanimate objects into birds. Looking around the class she saw some who were failing like her and some that had succeeded and had little birds flying around their heads. Finally she heard the professor said, Class dismissed. Quickly cleaning up her area, and packing her books into her brown leather bag she hurried to the her dorm so she could change and go outside for some fresh air.
Once in her dorm she set her book bag on the bed, and quickly changed from her school robes, to a pair of dark denim jeans with white stitching, that hugged her legs all the way down to her ankles, a plain purple cotton v-neck t-shirt and her a pair of black flats. The only makeup she wore, she had applied that morning, mascara. Grabbing an elastic band she put her hair up in a messy bun. Emptying her bag out she grabbed a book she was reading as well as her camera, she took it with her everywhere. You never knew when a moment would pop up and you would want a picture.
On a day like today where it was warm out, the sun half hiding behind clouds and fully showing herself once in awhile Temperance would be at the lake. She always found it to be calm, and always beautiful, she could read or take pictures. Walking out of the school she made her way down to the lake. Upon arriving she looked around and noticed not many students were down there yet. Going over to a tree on the waters edge she sat between its roots sticking out of the ground and opened her bag removing her book. Starting to read she became submersed in her own world.

by the fifth or sixth try, lily had finally been able to transfigure her block into a bird, just the size she wanted it. lily was sure if she tried making it into a bigger one it probably wouldn't have worked out so well. the bird looked around then took a couple of steps before flapping it's wings. it had a hard time flying so it stuck to walking. lily put her hand out so the bird could climb on but all her did was peck at it. when he (or she) realized that lily wasn't going to hurt it, the bird walked on to her hand, up her arm, until it perched itself on to her shoulder. lily was disappointed when the professor told them that class was dismissed. she left her bird there, unsure what she was supposed to do with it, and grabbed her stuff. she walked out of the classroom and to her room. that had been her last class of the day so she had time for some light reading. but first, she needed to change her clothes and get her book from her room.
she was outside fifteen minutes later, book in one hand and bag in the other. the book she had picked was one she found in a muggle library. lily loved reading all the muggle stories where no one had magic to get them out of sticky situations. she walked to her favorite spot by the lake only to see that it was occupied. lily recognized the girl from her transfiguration class though she had never actually talked to her before. "mind if i sit here?" lily asked, hoping the girl wouldn't get mad or anything. she would hate it if she had disturbed her.
"dialog here."

Temperance was thoroughly enjoying her book, it was about the future in the muggle world. In her hometown, she came upon a muggle bookstore and fell in love with what they called, Dystopian Novels. She always enjoyed to see how writers thought the world could turn out like, good or bad. While reading Temperance always got really into the book, yelling at it, crying with the characters etc. Sometimes she would even get so worked up reading, that she would have to stop and take a break from it. And this was one of those times. The two main characters, who were falling in love, were being forced apart by the crazy rulers and their schemes. Temperance sighed loudly and flipped the book shut. Slightly irritated with how it was taking a turn for the worst at that moment.
Setting the book down beside her Temperance decided that now would be as good of time as any to snap a few pictures of the lake and its surrounding area. Reaching into her back she pulled out her small black camera, and stood up walking the couple steps to the waters edge and looked through the view. Adjusting the zoom and focus she clicked to take a picture, smiling as she saw the giant squid at the last possible moment, stick out his tentacles to be in her picture. She had always loved photography, catching the unique moments that always seemed to happen at the most unlikely times.
Deciding she had calmed down enough to continue reading her book she walked back over to the area she was sitting and sat down, leaning comfortably against the roots and placed the camera on the back. Picking the book back up she opened it to where she left off and began to once again read. What felt like a few seconds later, Temperance jumped as she heard a voice say, May I sit here.. Looking towards the voice she saw the girl from her Transfiguration class, one of the few who had managed a bird in class. "Oh hello, of course have a seat." she said to the girl with a smile. She had seen her around the school as well in some of her classes, but this was the first time they had actually spoken. Temperance picked up her bag and set it on the other side of her, so the girl could sit down.

well, not that much time since she was a couple of seconds away but maybe she would get lucky and remember. lily slowed down her pace and thought about it. for sure, lily knew that she was a hufflepuff and that her name began with a t, but that was about it. lily kept thinking about it, knowing that it would come to her at any moment if she thought a bit harder about it. lily tried to remember if the professor had said her name in class or anyone for that matter, but as far as she knew, everyone had been too busy concentrating on their task, lily included. tina, no that's not it... hmm, maybe it's taylor! or tricia lily thought before giving up and reaching the tree.
lily smiled back at the girl and sat down. "umm, i have you for transfiguration, right?" lily asked, hoping the girl would tell lily her name in the process. okay, so there wasn't really a good chance that she would, but it was worth a try. lily felt too embarrassed to ask her for her name. especially since they had classes before. then again, they had never really talked. lily usually stayed with her friends, either that or she paid more attention to the professor than to her surroundings. throw her quiet nature in there, and you get a non-social redhead. "i'm lily." lily finally said, decided that just introducing herself would be easier than just saying things that would lead the girl to telling lily her name.

At this point in the book Temperance was quite happy. Good had finally had some sort of triumph. It was a happy thought, and one that made Temperance glad to pick it up again today. Sometimes when she was mad at a chapter of a book, she would stop reading it for awhile and pick up a new book. Sometimes Temperance ended up having three or four books on the go, where she got mad at a particular chapter and waited for her to not me so angry at it and then start to read it again. After the girl had startled her asking her if she may sit, Temperance had placed a leaf in the page she was currently reading, and while moving her bag, set the book on her lap closed, with its cover facing up.
Temperance watched as the girl saw down beside her. Hearing her ask about the transfiguration class,Temperance grimaced. She would love to forget anything about transfiguration. She was horrible at it and usually blocked out as much as she could, other then the how to complete a spell. Yes, that would be me. I recognize you from Transfiguration.” she said to the girl in reply, even though she couldn’t remember her name. Temperance was never good with remembering names, especially of those who she didn’t speak with on a regular basis, and as it happens these two girls paths hadn’t crossed yet. And that wasn’t that surprising, Hogwarts was a big fairly large school, face recognition was sometimes as good as it got.
Hearing her introduce herself, Temperance inwardly sighed in relief. She didn’t want to seem rude by not knowing the girls name, so when she didn’t know Temperance’s name either it was a huge relief. Extending her hand to the redheaded girl Temperance introduced herself, “Temperance Watson.” Then she added,”Pleasure to meet you.” Temperance then thought to herself, And to get the name to the face. Pushing some hair out of her eyes, Temperance smiled in a friendly manner, twisting her hands in her lap.
”Is this your favorite spot out on the lake as well?” Temperance asked her. It wasn’t a spot that many usually came to, most students stayed nearer to the path when they came to the lake. Only people who were there to relax and enjoy the scenery, while reading, doing homework or some other type of hobby seemed to find this particular spot. This is where she usually came when she wanted to read or take pictures. So didn’t doubt that others did the same.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 340px; background-image:url(http://i583.photobucket.com/albums/ss279/legendskseeker/fk5qwnjpg.png); padding: 30px; border: #a0a0a0 solid 30px; ]one to five i'm half alive WORDS 483 OUTFIT CLICK TAGGED TEMPERANCE even though she had come to the spot just to read, lily felt rude just ignoring the girl. at the same time, she felt bad that she was bothering her. lily really hoped that she wasn't one of those people that kept talking to a person but in reality, they just wanted the person to shut up. she had met people like that before, and they always ended up placing lily in their "who to avoid" list. it annoyed lily to no end, though she did admit that she would be much to embarrassed to ask someone to leave. "same" lily said with a smile. it might have been hard to miss her though. she had bright red hair and sat in the very front. aside from that, her father was harry potter so it was very difficult to stay invisible. the only thing that helped her was her quiet nature, but that might have been forgotten now that she was the gryffindor seeker.
"today's lesson was pretty hard, right? i took me a while to get it to turn." lily said, trying to make small talk. unfortunately, she was kind of horrible at it. the only thing that she could think of was school stuff, and she was sure no one wanted to talk about school. most of her friends were the ones that kept lily away from the school subject. lily was glad when the girl finally said her name. she knew it was something that started with a t, well she guessed it. lily extended her hand and shook temperance's hand. "i like your name, it's different... but in a good way" she quickly added. she didn't want to offend temperance like she had before. apparently, not many people took being different as a good thing. personally, lily liked being different. "the pleasures all mine." lily said with a smile.
lily took a better look at temperance, making sure not to forget who she was next time. lily nodded, this was her favorite spot in all of hogwarts. and that was surprising considering the secret passages that lily knew about. her brothers had been able to sneak her father's map out of his office, and they had shared the information with lily. only them and their closest friends knew about every secret passage. it was pretty wicked, but no passage had a view like this. "this place is amazing for when i want to read, or study" lily replied. temperance probably knew that herself considering she was reading moments before.
"so what book are you reading?." lily asked. who knew, maybe they could talk about the books they liked or they could hang out here. her own friends usually let her stay here while they went into the lake. yes, the invited her out and stayed with her while they cooled off, but they preferred being closer to the lake.
