♥♥★☆Another Heart That Don't Belong☆★♥♥
She held her wand out before her, hands slightly shaking, as she concentrated on the wooden dummy across the room. A small armature hung off the dummy holding the stick that would serve as a false wand. It had been a long morning, and she had little to no results to show for her hard work. She knew it was possible, she had seen other students do it way before her current term. However, nonverbal spells seemed to elude Caroline. The frustration showed on her face as she thrust her wand forward, and her "opponent" did not move a slight inch. "Shit!" she exclaimed, not for the first time this morning. She crossed her arms and glared at the dummy. Why was it that others could perform this spell so easy, and when she tried she could not even disarm a fly? It was not really fair. She worked hard, and did as well as any other in her classes. Yet, today she was still as irritated as ever.
Caroline turned and stalked across the room to her opened charms book. Her eyes moved across the pages as she searched for some clue to what she might have missed. It was pointless. Either she could do it, or she couldn't. The whole thought of her not being able to use nonverbal spells bit at her. There was no reason why she should not be able to just do it and be done with it. And the charms book really did nothing to help her, of course her class was not even studying non-verbals. Caroline just wanted to know. She slammed the book shut, and slid her wand inside her pant pocket. A small frown lined her full lips as she turned and leaned against the desk to glare at the dummy. She almost looked as if she might be pouting.
With a sigh she went over to the dummy and knocked the wand from it's extended plank. "There, nonverbal and disarmed. See, anyone could do it." She laughed at how stupid she sounded in her own ears before turning around and moving away from the dummy. Caroline decided she might as well fold it in for the day, and go see what else might be happening around the castle. She tucked her book away in her little case, and left the room behind. As she slipped through the wooden door, the door faded and the Room of Requirement was once again hidden from view. Caroline let her feet carry her, as she often did during her free time at Hogwart's School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This time, they led her to the Great Hall. The massive tables had been pushed aside and several students were studying various things at the long tables. She spotted a few Gryffindors sitting at the for end of the closest table and made her way down the aisle. She smiled and sat down to pull a book from her knapsack. Caroline was prepared to sit and listen to the others around her. She hardly ever started a conversation, and today would be no different.
Notes: Alright, it is not great. I know. But to get us started, it just might work. Yeah?
