The week had grown to a close, ushering the students into the weekend. Two whole days without class and assignment, who wouldn't love that. This was why Marcus enjoyed the weekends. He could stay up late on Friday, party all night, cure his hangover Saturday morning, and then do it all again the next night. This was exactly what had happened last night. The lanky boy laid in bed, the blanket that covered him pulled up and over his head so that no light could enter from the morning sun. He grunted as his mind began to unwind from last nights drunken dreams of sex and vanity. Hangovers, always unwelcome but so worth it for the memories, although blurred, from the night before. Marc turned his head, lifting up the blanket to peer at the time on his alarm clock. Three fifteen read the red mechanical numerals that were displayed on the front. He grunted again, this time from the sharp paint hat rose through his spine and into the top of his skull. He had slept half the day away, and just like routine that meant it was time to get up a prepare once again.
Getting up, he tossed off the blanket and sat up on the edge of his bed, grabbing the sunglasses that sat to his right and placing them upon his ears to block the blinding light that poured in from the windows of the dorm. It took him a few minutes to get moving, but once he finally got up he got things done. The bed got made, his dirty clothes put away, and fresh ones adorned his body. He grabbed his wand and placed it in his pocket and then his shoes, slipping them on his feet. It was when he reached for his phone that disaster stuck. His blue eyes gazed at the spot it should be sitting in on his bed side table, his mind still hazed and operating a bit more slowly than normal. He didn't freak out, but proceeded to calmly check the bedding and then the floor beneath in case he had dropped it when he passed out on the bed last night. It was no where in sight. "Alright then." He said getting to his feet and pulling out his wand. "Accio Phone."
[/i] He called out, but no phone came rushing to him, only a little bit of a breeze. Odd, normally that did the trick. Now running over a list of places in his head that he would of had it at last night, Marcus headed down the stairs and out the door and into the dungeons, in search of his phone. The only place that he could of left it would have been the room of requirement on the seventh floor, and following that whim he made his way to the room. In normal routine he walked past it three times, the party from last night fresh in his mind. On the last pass, the door began to form and he stepped inside. Surprising the place had been cleaned up, the streamers hung up instead of down and scattered everywhere. He walked around, looking on various table surfaces and on the couches and chairs that littered the massive room. It was when he crossed the DJ table that his phone came into view. "Thank Merlin!" He said, picking up pace and grabbing it off the corner of the table. He flipped through it for a moment, checking out the missed calls and messages he had. It was at that moment footsteps sounded from behind him and he froze for a moment, expecting to hear the normal shrill voice of a professor over his shoulder. Not a lot of people trusted Victoria Rookwood, she did have a very dodgy personality and a lot of people were wary of her. She definitely wasn’t your average Slytherin, sure she was spiteful and liked to inflict pain but she always had a soft side that she’d only show to a selected few, mostly just her older brother who was also in Slytherin and only a year older. Victoria was quite close with her brother and they did get along well, he knew of her kind side but always showed a disappointed side when he knew she’d been socializing with other houses. If she was around Slytherin’s she’d always be cruel to the other students that weren’t in Slytherin, but when she was on her own she’d always get along with them, she had a reputation and she wanted to keep it, after all, not all Slytherin’s were spiteful.
It was late afternoon and already Victoria felt her mood turn quite swiftly to what would be considered a extremely bad mood, which was fine for her, Slytherin’s were known for their foul moods but if anyone got in her way they’d feel her raft and that wouldn’t be a good thing for them. She’d hate to upset anyone but sometimes these things happened, which was probably why she was in Slytherin. When she was horrible, she was very horrible almost cruel to who ever was in her way.
She had to get away and decided it would be best if she went to the room of requirement, that way no one could annoy her beyond belief. Victoria paced backwards and forwards, what you should normally do and then the large door formed in front of her and cunning smile formed on her delicate facial features. Victoria liked to think she was quite pretty with her platinum blonde hair, porcelain skin and petite frame but there were girls far better than her. She walked into the room of requirement and saw a student stood in the room, she knew exactly who it was and she smirked, “Well, fancy seeing you here.”

"Well, fancy seeing you here"
The voice called out from behind him, signaling that it wasn't a teacher, but yet someone he knew, and knew all too well. Turning around his blue eyes gazed upon the image of Victoria Rookwood, a fellow Slytherin that was two years below him, but then again age never stopped her from crawling into bed with him. She was a little follower of his, always there by his side when he called, and always ready to give it up if the mood ever struck him right. He had heard rumors floating around that the poor girl was stuck on him, which was frankly entertaining to Marcus. Never had he had a girl like that in his life, but as the months went on of their little affairs did the rumors seem to prove true. No problem though, she was disposable and easily forgotten once he graduated.
"Look who's talking." He replied back with a smirk, taking a step closer in her direction. "What's it been? Two weeks since I've seen you trotting behind me." He now began to step around her. "Why's that?" He questioned, now stepping behind her and moving close, pressing his lips close to her ear. "I've been terribly worried 'bout you, darlin'." He lied into her ear softly before chuckling and moving away once more.
Oh how he enjoyed messing with that girl. Something about it always struck him as amusing. Maybe because she never ran away? Or that she feared him enough to always give into his demands unlike some of the other girls around this castle? Either way, it was fun, just like the countless other games he played with is peers around the castle. Moving back in front of her sight he walked over to a couch that sat beside the DJ table and took a seat, crossing one of his legs over the other and placing an arm stretched across the top of the couch. "So what you been up to, dear?"

There was a very confusing history between the two, well; on her side it was confusing. Since Victoria had first met the older Slytherin she had always been physically attracted to him and felt like he was drawing her toward him. Everyone knew that she had a crush on him but hopefully it faded, after all he didn’t actually want her, but she wasn’t aware of that. She’d always felt there was something wrong but she’d never bothered to look at the obvious facts, like he was using her. A lot of people would talk about how he would sleep with a girl and never pay any attention but Victoria was very gullible to say the least. She had slept with him a few times but only because he wanted it and she didn’t know how to say no to such a handsome Slytherin.
When the rumours came around to her brother he wasn’t best pleased but obviously he’d never bothered about it, there was no proof that those rumours existed and Victoria would always say that everyone was lying about it, and she was still a virgin, truth was she jumped into bed with him at every chance she got, just so she felt loved or needed but she wasn’t either. The older Slytherin stepped forward toward her and she smiled sheepishly before watching him step around her, “I’ve had things to do, more important things,” Since she was in her fifth year she had her OWLs to do now and she had in fairness forgotten about him for a while, but she’d never admit it.
A small shiver travelled down her spine when she felt him speaking into her ear about him being worried about her, “Really?” It was stupid how she could believe such a thing but then again she was madly in love with him and believe his word over anyone else’s which made her a pushover in some way, but of course her temper usually got the better of her if someone upset her. Victoria shrugged, “Essays, quidditch, the usual.” Victoria stood still and looked at him, “You?”

“I’ve had things to do, more important things,”
The blonde had replied as he stepped around her. "Oh really now?" He simply said, knowing that there was some truth to that. She was a fifth year after all, had things like OWLS and the lot to look forward to, but still that wasn't an excuse not to have her following behind him like some lost child looking for their mother. She loved him, and he....well let's just say he adored her in the physical sense. She was an attractive looking girl, a bit young for his taste, but she made up for it where it counted. A few times they seemed to share the same bed, not because he loved her, but because he wanted her that bad, and each time she never complained or worried about giving into his needs. He liked that about her. He could count on her to drop dead if he really wanted, but then what good would she be? Marcus couldn't help but grin a bit as she questioned his feelings for her. Sure, he had worried about her; worried about the next time he'd get those robes off her during Charms that was. "Well who wouldn't with such a pretty face like yours, darlin'?" He sweet talked her as he plopped down into place on the couch. Oh the minds of the young and the once innocent, how easy it was to manipulate and distort their views just by flashing a few cheeky grins and promising them myths of grandeur. He grinned to himself as he stretched his arm out on the back of the couch, loving his train of thought at the moment.
Victoria stood still as she answered his question, filling him in about the activities she had been doing, including Quidditch. Now there was something they both had an interest in. Too bad he wasn't still playing on the team. He got banned his fifth year after knocking a kid in the head with a bludger. Best part was he was a Chaser. "Sounds like a blast." He stated, rolling his eyes a bit in sarcasm. She proceeded to ask him the same thing and he chuckled a bit. "Oh you know, destroying lives and ruining everyone's future." He simply replied, laughing a bit after a brief pause. "That and putting up with my dear father." He scoffed, rolling his eyes once again.

“Yes, really.” After she started her fifth year, it had been clear that studying would not be her favourite thing. She didn’t think she’d be sat in the library for hours on end trying to finish essays on time, and study. There was always the option of getting someone else to do it but Victoria was actually to intelligent for that, she had all this knowledge so she may as well get it down on paper, that way she could prove how smart she was. The blonde did consider Marcus was quite intimidating, but that didn’t change her view on him, it came with the typical Slytherin, you had to be slightly intimidating in order to get people to believe you were better than them. It was something she wasn’t capable of doing, she couldn’t make herself and someone else believe she was better and she was pretty sure some people saw through her fake personality, it was only a matter of time until the truth came out.
She was a little bit uncomfortable but she couldn’t help her feelings for the older Slytherin and there was only two years between them, or a year. When he commented on not being worried she smiled slightly, “Oh, well, it’s nice that you care.” Most of the time she couldn’t be quite sure if he did care or was just putting it on but he was pretty convincing at times, especially with that gorgeous face of his. It was definitely hard to convince herself that he wasn’t attractive because he was and she didn’t know anyone that thought otherwise.
Victoria moved cautiously toward the couch and took a seat next to him fiddling with her thumbs slightly before smiling. Maybe she should have waited for him to invite her to sit down rather than just take a seat? Although he might not mind but Victoria always tried to be polite to her fellow Slytherin’s, just to show them a little bit of respect. Victoria took note of the sarcasm in his voice and frowned slightly, he was awfully rude but she wasn’t going to complain. “The usual then?” She commented to his response of ruining lives.

“Oh, well, it’s nice that you care.”
The blonde fifth year spoke aloud, her voice ringing into his ears. Marcus smirked a bit. He knew all too well that a few little winks and a charming grin of his was all it took to make the girl believe him, or at least that's what he thought. Truth was though that he didn't care about her one bit. She was just another object of pleasure that he kept around so that his life wouldn't be dull. Sure, she was smart and knew how to handle herself (perks that Marcus always enjoyed in people), but none of that mattered when they slept together. Then it was just about lust and other silly emotions that always over took him in the moment. That raised another thought, mainly about her following him around. What was it that she was so interested in? Money? All girls loved money, and he had plenty of it. Was it the sex? Or, maybe it was something a bit more involved than that.
His mind snapped out of it's normal thinking trance as the girl moved and took her place upon the couch, her hands fiddling with their appendages as if she was nervous. He chuckled a bit aloud as he watched her for a split moment. She spoke up, asking if his whole ruining lives was the norm for him. It was to some extent, but what he had done a year ago was just now starting to catch up to him, and it was almost time to throw another of his famous schemes into the pot. "I guess you could say so." He spoke, not really wanting to play into it with her. She wasn't as well trusted as Cathy or Danni, but then again Tori had no part in the plan the others had hatched. Still, it was better just to leave that unspoken for the time being.
Thoughts turned to the Halloween Ball that was quickly approaching. He had yet to find a date, and as his blue eyes scanned over the frame of the blonde headed girl he began to wonder if he should invite her along for the evening. His mouth opened, intent to switch the subject to something else besides the ball, but yet those words flew out of his lips. "So, the Halloween Ball is coming up." He spoke, his heart dropping a bit from the lack of control in his mind. "Got anyone special to go with?"

If Victoria’s older brother knew what she was up to he would not be best pleased, he’d always told her he was bad news well he was always telling her that all males were bad news. Of course she was still young and in a month or two she’d probably learn from her mistakes, but how could you learn from them if you didn’t make any mistakes? Sure Marcus was probably laughing at how smitten she was over him but then again she couldn’t help who she fell for and he was a very attractive guy, a lot of girls always said that so she wasn’t the only one saying it, but she was sure she wasn’t the only girl he was sleeping with.
What she had noticed was how reserved he was around her; it was like he only wanted one thing off of her and that was the more physical side, although she wasn’t complaining. In all honesty she liked how physical they’d get with one another and she had often bragged to her friends that they nearly always jumped into bed with each other when the mood struck. Maybe a few Slytherin’s felt she was a slut for jumping into bed with him but how could she resist him? He was pretty everything she had ever wanted, and jumping into bed hid her actual personality, it was better than her sleeping with a Hufflepuff or something.
“Oh, okay then..” She trailed off slightly and fiddled with her thumbs thinking about what could be the consequences if everyone knew she wasn’t the typical cold hearted Slytherin and she actually had feelings. They would most likely hate her but she had to do something to fit in, even if that was to disguise her true colours. If they knew how nice she could be to some Gryffindor’s, god knows what they would do to her.
The conversation turned to the Halloween ball which had completely slipped her mind, when he asked if she was going with anyone she smiled, was he going to ask her? “Nope, I’ll probably just go with a friend or something.” She shrugged casually pretending as if it wasn’t anything special, but she was dying to know if he’d ask her to attend with him. Imagine that?!

“Oh, okay then...” Tori spoke up, once again letting her hands fiddle with their appendages. His eyes trailed from her to objects around the room, first the dj table beside them then off to other random things like lampshades and fallen down streamers. His mind churned on random thoughts, like the end of the year and how this was his final year. He wondered how graduation would be, and if he would even attend or get swept away by his father and thrown into the world of Harding Inc. Part of him hoped he could stay for a bit, just long enough to tell Cathy and some others good bye before he did disappear off the face of the earth.
His thoughts and glance returned to the blonde as she spoke up, telling him that she was probably just gonna take a friend or something. He grinned a bit and scooted closer. "Well then how would you like to join me?" He offered and then leaned in. "I promise it will be fun." He whispered, his lips once again his inches from her ear. Leaning back, Marcus grinned over at her, the same charming and rather dashing grin he had always done to the girls so he could get his way. Like it mattered with her though. He could have told her he had no one else to take and she was a last resort and she would still go with him.

For a moment she wondered what her friends could be doing, they were probably sat down doing nothing or finishing off their essays. Victoria happened to be up to date with all of her essays and the only one she had to finish off was her Muggle Studies and all she had to write was about their forms of communication with was relatively easy since she was aware of their electronic communication, such as laptops, phones, text messages, etc. If she didn’t finish of her studies she’d most likely fail and disappoint her parents, then they’d lecture her and repeatedly tell her how important her academic life was compared to her social life, either way she needed a bit of both otherwise she’d either be a nerd or have terrible grades.
Conversation turned for the better and a small smile formed its way onto her delicate facial features and there was a slight red tint to her porcelain cheeks as he asked her to the Halloween Ball. She had to prevent herself from breaking out into a giant grin and it was proving difficult. Victoria was already thinking about what dress she was going to wear and if they should colour code or what, she hadn’t even answered him and she was already thinking ahead. “I’d love to join you Marcus,” When he leaned closer to her and whispered in her ear she shivered slightly and blushed before smiling, “I’m sure it would be fun.” It would probably end in sex but she didn’t mind, whatever he wanted he would get it!
