Today was a chilly day but Jaylen being who she was put on a thin hoodie and went down to sit beside the lake. Peace and quiet was what she wanted and peace and quiet was what she would get. Sure interruptions weren't a bad thing but Jaylen was wanting the peace and quiet. She was a person who thought best when there was quiet and the cold lake would do just that.
Tight dark blue jeans ran with her legs and a gray t-shirt lay underneath the thin hoodie. Typically Jaylen didn't care about the temperature. She liked the cold much more than the heat anymore. The olive green eyes scanned the lake carefully for anyone sitting beside it and than relaxed against a tree on the ground.
As she sat there against the tree she watched the still lake and tried to decide where to go and what to do. The sky was nice and cloudy making the chilly day perfect. Jaylen, who liked to be called Danni, felt great as she sat there. The silence of the lake was perfect. Danni's day so far had been an interesting one, quiet but interesting. Her mind was lost in the thoughts that ran through it. She had completely dazed out from that point with just her thoughts.

Cathy pushed her over her shoulder as she walked out of the dormitories and down the steps, out to the Entrance Hall. It was a little crowded, a group of over excited third years getting ready for the Hogsmeade weekend. She had a look of pure irritation in her eyes, as she kept a fake smile on her face as she pointed out the direction to a tiny Gryffindor, a teacher passing buy and nodding approvingly. As soon as she was gone, she sneered at the kid and told him to get lost as she went out to the grounds. She hated keeping pretenses but it was what kept her in the good books of the professors and the prefect badge on her chest.
It was a fairly chilly day which she refused to acknowledge with only a thin blazer on. But she added a scarf and gloves to not let herself get a cold or blue fingers. She'd always been taught etiquette and the only thing worse than a lady admitting her weaknesses was a lady with rough, cold hands or, worse, a sniffling nose. She went out to the lake, eager to escape the castle yet not wanting to go all the way down to the village. She almost turned around when she spotted a figure there but smiled as she realized it was her partner in crime and one of her best friends' younger sister.
"Hello, Danni" she greeted, a quasi-genuine smile on her face as she sat down beside her, careful to not let the wet grass touch the bottom of her jeans. "What brings you out here? No doubt proud of our beautiful work" she grinned, thinking of the still growing weeds of poison they'd all sown nearly a year ago. "You will not believe who our dear Marcus' newest conquest is," she said, raising a brow.

Danni had been completely zoned out and her eyes were a blank stare for a few moments. She was only shaken out of her thoughts when she heard a familiar female voice speak. She heard her name and than turned as she saw her brother's friend sit next to her. ”Hey Cathy, what brings you down here?” she asked. Cathy was Nick and Stefan's good friend and a year older than herself. They had also helped start the fire to the dynamite that was Stefan and Dominique Weasley's relationship.
”Always proud of what we did, but I heard Stefan has heard something about the rumor, from Dominique herself, Nick was talking about it just a day ago when I saw him at the Quidditch pitch,” she told her. She was thinking of her conversation with Nick less than a twenty-four hours ago and she wasn't sure what was going to happen. ”You know Nick will disown us all if he finds out we had anything to do with it, I dunno how Stefan's going to react though,” she said.
”You will not believe who our dear Marcus' newest conquest is,” she heard. A shake of her head came. ”Please tell me he's going to start with Darla and Nick, I do not like that Ravenclaw,” she said coldly. Jaylen had different reasons for not liking her. Sure she was a pureblood, but she was also with her brother, and she would do anything to get Darla out of Nick's life at the moment, especially now when they are already a little rocky.
