Alex put his hands in his jacket's pocket as he walked towards the black lake, It was still cold of which was not a surprise since that it was winter. with being a prefect, on the quidditch team, and being in his sixth years had it's up and downs. the main down was that he didn't as much free time as eh likes, but the up was that he can forget abotu who his father was basically all the time. expect for a time like right now of where Alex was trying to forget who his father was, Alex had no homework, no rounds, and had nothing to do really. When there's was nothing to do was when the thought of his father or his half siblings, in Slytherin, would appear in his head and he hated it. It was at times like this that his mother had never gave him the last name of Greyback or even his middle name, Alex would prefer his mother's last name and the middle name of James. Alex would jut be with his having the name of Alexander and no other name, though Alex knows it was not possible to just have one name though and Alex learned to deal with last name.
Thankfully, not everyone had judged him by his father's actions or deeds, or eve just having his father's name. It was basically the slytherins that had be judging him now a days, including his half siblings in Slytherin. Though it was not because of his father, it was because Alex was in Hufflepuff and the Slytherins consider Hufflepuffs soft. Because of the Slyherins that Alex had even learn to defend himself and make sure that the Slytherins that he was just as brave and tough as Gryffindors could be when he needs to be. Otherwise, Alex would remain as he always done throughout his whole life, the only difference s that he was not living above a wand shop at the moment. Everyone else in all the houses were fine with him ad most of them knew that Alex was not like his father in anyone, like his half siblings in Gryffindor. It was just than that Alex had reached the black lake of which was covered in ice, Alex looked down at the frozen lake.

The humid autumn weather was starting to fade away as Britain disappeared into the cold winter months. By the look of the clouds, another December rainfall was on its way. The sun was hidden behind the thick fog, and most Hogwarts students were getting cozy by the fire in their common rooms, while Daniel Greyback made his way down to the lake. After bundling himself up in several layers to fight off the brisk wind, he had set out toward the lake in need of some much-needed time to clear his head. After writing three long essays and going from class to class, the Gryffindor’s brain was practically fried. Usually he had no trouble with school work, but Daniel always had trouble sleeping on a full moon, and it had been a long day. Thankfully, it was the end of the week and the start of the weekend. Friday was one of his favourite days of the week, simply because although he quite liked working, a break was always appreciated. Just to give him a chance to relax, maybe play some wizards chess by the fire or just get some sleep.
So why was Daniel leaving the warmth of the castle for the freezing outdoors? To be honest, as soon as he stepped outside, he couldn't remember. A frosty gust of wind hit him in the face as he took his first step into the Hogwarts grounds. "Why the hell am I out here?", he mumbled to himself as he started to briskly stroll away from the castle. He knew why though- the peace and quiet was like heaven to him. There was no gossip or shouting and he wasn’t being attacked by question after questions regarding the piles of homework that the fifth years were getting in their OWL year. Instead it was just the roar of the wind and the occasional snapping of a twig. As he walked, taking the chilly fresh air into his lungs, he spotted a figure standing by the Black Lake. Even at this distance, it wasn't hard to recognise the blonde head, looking down at the frozen water. Alexander- probably his favourite brother. They had met when Daniel was eight, seeing as they both lived in Diagon Alley. The Gryffindor strode up to the Hufflepuff, and tapped him on the back. "All right, brother?" he questioned, sticking his cold hands back into his snug pockets.

Alex heard someone walking towards the lake, but Alex didn't pay any heed to the footsteps, Alex was thinking and sort hoped that he had a different father than the he has. Alex, like at least one of his other brothers, didn't want to be lie his father, no one, expect for maybe the Slytherins, could blame Alex or his one brother. Alex knows that his other brother had meet their father, unlike Alex though, Alex figure half of the reason that Alex never meet his father was because of the fact Alex never really left Diagon Alley. The only time Alex had ever left Diagon Alley was when he had come here to Hogwarts or go into Hogsmeade for the weekend. Honestly Alex was glad of the fact that he was raised in Diagon Alley above a wand shop, for he got to see things that most wizards and witches sees on daily basis. For Life in Diagon Alley was never boring and Alex doubt that Diagon Alley would never be boring, for there was usually something that Alex could do in Diagon Alley.
Even more so after his one brother had moved into Diagon Alley above the one quidditch supply shop. Just than there was a tap on his back and Alex thought for a second that it may have be one of his siblings in Slytherin or a Slytherin, but than he heard the voice of his one brother in Gryffindor. Alex turned around and faced his younger brother, Daniel, the one brother that also lives in Diagon Alley and the one sibling that was the closest to Alex. "Yes I am fine, I was just thinking of the ups and down of my life, most of it's up, but there are few things that are down." Alex paused for a minute, denial was a year younger and a year behind Alex in Hogwarts, so denial was in his O.W.L.S. of which was a busy year, though sixth year was also pretty busy as well. "Are the teachers keeping you busy with it being the O.W.L.S. year?"
