It was an average fall evening; not too warm, not too cool. Lorcan was dressed in a t-shirt, jeans, and hoodie, his typical attire when out of uniform. He adored taking trips to Hogsmeade, though he didn't go every weekend like many others did. He loved the castle, but it was a nice escape to roam the streets of Hogsmeade buying candy and butterbeer. He spent some evenings eating dinner in the village while the rest of the students ate back at Hogwarts. It was the middle of the evening now though, and Lorcan had his eyes set on some Bertie Bot's Every Flavour Beans. He was weird in that he liked every single flavor. Of course, peppermint was much more pleasant than earwax, but they were all good to him nonetheless. He walked through the streets, throwing jellybeans into his mouth as he walked. He hadn't made plans to meet anyone, but he'd hoped he'd run into a friend. He had few of those because of his shyness, but he was close to the ones he had. He was friends with mostly girls, but his twin was his best friend. Lysander was sick though and had insisted that Lorcan go on to Hogsmeade without him.
Lorcan stepped inside the Three Broomsticks. There were students scattered about the pub. He recognized many of them, but he was sure none of them knew his name. That was fine by him though; he didn't really like to be bothered. He ordered his butterbeer and sat down at an empty table facing the front door. He could remember some of the days he'd spent in here with friends. In particular, he thought back to spending time with one of his good friends, Miss Natalie Beaumont. He didn't get to see her very often, as he spent a lot of time in the Ravenclaw Common Room studying. That girl was gorgeous. Lorcan had liked her for quite a while now, but he was very inexperienced when it came to girls. In fact, he had no experience with girls at all, other than friendship. Just then, he saw her at the front door. Speaking of the devil, he thought and gave a small smile.

natalie laughed awkwardly, as she tried to escape the slytherin boy's grasp. she was currently at zonko's joke shop hoping to get a sneak peek at the new merchandise. unfortunately, she had ended up bumping into this guy that was in her year. she couldn't quite place his name, probably austin something or other, but he certainly knew her. austin (or whatever) had corned the young girl and spent a good ten minutes talking about how good they would be together. natalie had tried telling him to back off, but he had ignored every single word that came out of her mouth. finally, one of his friends came by and distracted him long enough for her to escape. she let out a sigh of relief as soon as she exited the shop. natalie was still a bit peeved about the fact that she had not had a chance to purchase anything but she would go back later. natalie pulled her jacket around her, annoyed at the fact that she had chosen to wear a skirt. it wasn't unbearably cold and she had worn tights, but natalie was always cold.
she continued walking until she reached honedukes. it was crowded, like usual, and natalie could barely get inside. she was able to grab a couple of sweets and pay for them in a matter of ten minutes. she had not bought nearly as many as she would have liked, but the crowds of people were getting to her. she loved the hogsmeade trips, it gave her a chance to get out of her uniform and not have to worry about taking tests that she would likely fail. unfortunately, the crowds annoyed her to no end. she enjoyed having people around but it was annoying having to wait in line forever just for a simple treat. natalie finally made her way to the three broomsticks. for being extremely popular, it was never full. probably because everyone waited till the end of the trip to get a butterbeer. once inside, the warm air brought a smile to her face. she removed her coat and looked around to see if she spotted anyone familiar. when she did, the smile that was on her face got wider.
now who was it that had made natalie smile so widely that she looked a bit like a clown? well, lorcan, of course. he was one of her friends and the object of her affection. if only he were smart enough to know it. not to say the boy was dumb, if anything natalie was the stupid one in their relationship err friendship. anyways, she walked over to where he was sitting and pulled out a chair. "what a surprise! you're actually out of your common room. i was starting to think that you were just avoiding me" natalie said as she took a seat.

Lorcan did his best not to smile too big as Natalie sat down. He didn't want to seem to eager, but then again, he wished she knew how he felt about her. It was so hard for him to tell people how he felt. He was always in a good mood, but he never detailed past that. The mood she put him though was different. He had butterflies in his stomach whenever he thought of her. Now he just sounded like a lovestruck little girl. He'd never been in love; until this year, he didn't look at girls any different than guys. Perhaps he hit puberty late. He'd always been an odd one, just like his parents.
"what a surprise! you're actually out of your common room. i was starting to think that you were just avoiding me." He just smiled at her comment. He wouldn't even avoid her in his worst nightmares. She was one of the few people he felt comfortable around. Lorcan knew Natalie well enough to know when she was being serious and when she was just playing around. He loved her sense of humor. It was something he lacked; though many people find some of the serious things he says to be funny. Even after all these years, no one liked to believe in the existence of nargles... Lorcan had a passion for magical creatures, just like his father, and his mother had told him of the creatures few people knew about: the ones that can't be seen with the naked eye. He wondered if Natalie would enjoy learning about magical creatures up close and personal. He'd been wanting to take a trip into the Forbidden Forest.
After a few moments had passed, not long enough to be awkward, Lorcan asked, "Do you want a butterbeer?" That was what most people came in here for, though Lorcan had a high respect for their food as well. He sipped up some of the excess foam on the top of his butterbeer. He was more than happy to buy Natalie a butterbeer or whatever else she wanted. What a gentleman, in more ways than one. Some thought of his gentle nature as a weakness, but he had never cared what others thought of him.

natalie didn't care that she was smiling so wide. lorcan would probably just think that she was being her usually happy self. god, if only he was a normal boy. then again, if he was a normal boy then natalie wouldn't like him as much. but she was getting impatient with him. nat was used to boys being open with her. she had used every flirting technique she knew, and still no bell went off in lorcan's head. she would have given up on him if it weren't for the fact that she actually cared about the boy. now natalie knew how she made guys feel sometimes. she was sure this was payback from some sort of higher being for being such a flirt. natalie made herself a promise that she would change that if lorcan actually felt something for her.
natalie knew it was a long shot, but a girl could dream, couldn't she? anyways, her stomach did little flips when lorcan smiled. at least now she knew that he actually wasn't avoiding her. it was strange, nat never cared if a boy ignored her. usually she was happy about it because she hated when guys came off way to strong. but she also hated not knowing how a boy felt. actually, scratch that, she hated not knowing how lorcan felt. natalie had guys friends, more than she could even count. but none were like lorcan. he was sweet, and he actually treated her like a girl. nat was used to being one of the guys and she didn't mind, but it felt nice when someone actually realized that she was a girl and being rude wasn't going to cut it.
aside from that, lorcan actually got her. he didn't get offended when she was a bit sarcastic or in one of her moods. if anything, he tried making her feel better. natalie was quickly snapped out of her thoughts by lorcan. she hadn't realized that they hadn't said anything to each other for a while. was she really that distracted by thoughts of the boy? god, she had it bad. "umm. .. yeah sure! i'm also craving some food though. i haven't eaten since the morning" natalie said. for a tiny girl, she had a big appetite. it seemed cool but now that she was around lorcan she felt a bit embarrassed. anyone who would have heard her thoughts would have found them hilarious. natalie never got embarrassed.

Lorcan loved Natalie's smile. Sure, she was beautiful when she wasn't smiling, but it seemed like when she smiled, she had a different light about her. It felt to him as though everything was perfect in the world. That may perhaps be a little exaggerated, but we can all remember some of our first crushes, and Natalie was one of his. She always appeared to be happy when Lorcan was with her. He was oblivious to the fact of her liking him; he thought for sure she just thought of him as one of her closest friends. Lorcan lacked some common sense for sure. Perhaps nargles infested his brain too much. No. That couldn't be it. He would most certainly recognize the feeling. One day when he was younger, his twin had set some nargles loose right next to him, and they all got inside his head. The way he acted was hilarious to people on the outside. You would've thought he was on drugs. Lorcan, on the other hand, had no idea what was going on. Thankfully, his mother had removed them and lectured Lysander. Though both brothers were well-behaved, Lysander was just less introverted. He was still introverted, but they didn't have completely identical personalities, even though they were identical twins.
"umm. .. yeah sure! i'm also craving some food though. i haven't eaten since the morning." Lorcan hadn't thought much about it, but he was pretty hungry as well. He didn't eat very much, since he never did too much for him to get hungry. Sometimes when he studied really hard, he would forget about eating and skip meals. "I'll be right back," he said, getting up from his seat. Thankfully, there was no line at the counter. He ordered a butterbeer for Natalie and a Shepherd's Pie for them to share. The pie at the Three Broomsticks was fairly large, but if Natalie was still hungry after they ate that, he would get her something else. He brought the food back to their table after only a minute. "Their Shepherd's Pie is delicious." He didn't know if she'd ever had it before. Most people didn't usually eat here. Of course, she wasn't like most people; she was much more amazing.
tagged, natalie <33 word count, 374 notes, okay so Lorcan is really big into magical creatures and sometimes goes out into the forbidden forest to look at some of them. well perhaps one night, Natalie goes with him, they find some dangerous creature, and she could be scared and Lorcan would keep her safe. I think that'd be cute (: credits, pic credit to hannah @ caution , text credit to steph @ caution

natalie's feelings of lorcan were strange to say the least. she had never really been one to like a guy that was so unlike her. usually, she fell for the guys that told her right away that they wanted her, and then got boring weeks later. she went through dozens of guys, but once she thought about, lorcan was the only guy that she had never gotten bored off. her might have been a bit timid and off beat, but nat liked that about him. it just made her want to know more about him. natalie was surprised he hadn't gotten annoyed by her questions and constant chatter by now. not that she would ever want him to get bored of her, well more like he couldn't. the slytherin girl was too unpredictable to be boring. anyways, she looked around the three broomsticks and noticed a couple in a corner. oh how she envied them, not because she liked the guy or anything, but she envied their relationship. how was it that she was unlucky enough to be interested in a guy that just thought of her as a friend.
natalie continued to watched as they flaunted their relationship all over the place. if it wasn't for lorcan's sudden departure, she was sure she would have stared at them for as long as they stayed there. she watched as he left, wondering in her head what she was going to say next. for once in her life, natalie was at a loss for words. it wasn't a strange feeling with lorcan. usually she started with something completely random but now that she was feeling different, she didn't want to look like a fool. she continued to think about it until he finally returned with abutterbeer and some sort of weird pie thing. natalie had never tried pie, the family servant usually prepared meals that were fit for royalty. which meant, nothing that could be found in any old food place. still, natalie couldn't wait to get a taste. "thanks lorcan, how much was it? so i can pay you for my stuff" natalie asked.
she wasn't going to be a bitch and make him pay for her stuff. yeah, she was the girl but it wasn't like they were on a date or anything. no, it would take a miracle for them to even be on a date. "i've never tried sheperd's pie before... or any kind of pie" she admitted. it looked delicious though, and she wanted to dive right into it but she wasn't about to before lorcan. it was mostly his anyways. at least, until she paid him back.

"thanks lorcan, how much was it? so i can pay you for my stuff" Lorcan shook his head. "I got it," he said earnestly with a smile. He knew she would have no problem with paying him, and she knew that he knew that too. Her family had the money to spare, as did the Scamanders. Lorcan's parents were much like scientists, mostly discovering and cross breeding new species. Some of them their results were published, earning them quite a bit of money. Others they kept hidden, just because the family enjoyed mystery and intrigue. Most people didn't understand. His mother had been labeled Loony her whole life, and his father was often called similar names. People nowadays were much ruder and uninhabited, so I won't repeat some of the names Lorcan's fellow students have given him. Thankfully, he didn't let it get to him. It wasn't so much that he had tough skin, but he liked himself. He didn't have killer confidence, but he was happy with his simple personality and love for mystery. Natalie's zest for life attracted him to her. When the two were together, they both had smiles plastered on their faces; they made each other happy. Of course, Lorcan wasn't only smiling because she was fun to be with but also, he couldn't get over her beauty. He had seen her with some guys before, but what guy in their right mind wouldn't want to stay with her. Then again, Lorcan wasn't really in his right mind. Maybe it took someone like him to see every bit of the beauty on the inside and outside of Natalie.
In a way, by paying for their meal, Lorcan felt as though he was repaying her. He didn't feel as though he was a very good friend sometimes. He'd lost some friends before because he was shy. Natalie wasn't like that though. She'd known for a long time now that he was quiet. And yet, she still smiled when she saw him. He knew he could count on her as a true friend. "i've never tried sheperd's pie before... or any kind of pie." he shook his head slightly in the i can't believe you've never eaten this kinda way. It made since. Her family was more high class than his. He smiled at her and replied, "I promise you'll like it." He put one fork in front of her, then used his to take a bite. It was the perfect temperature, as all food was when prepared with magic. It was delicious. If she didn't like it, well... he'd still love her.

natalie roller her eyes but kept the smile on her face. she didn't bother arguing with lorcan because she knew it was one battle that she would lose. plus, it made her feel special that he was paying for her. it made her feel as if this was a date. if only it could actually be considered a date. but natalie knew better, lorcan was just being nice like always. it wasn't like paying for her this one time would be considered much. they were both from families that were extremely well off, which was natalie's way of saying rich. see, her parents both came from wealthy families which meant that their inheritance was enough to support five more generations. aside from that, her father work at the ministry of magic so his wage as enough to support his only child. yeah natalie's life was pretty much perfect, aside from having a bitch for a mom but that problem was taken care of when her parents divorced.
anyways, natalie was always used to getting what she wanted except for lorcan. sure, they were friends but natalie didn't want that. she wanted lorcan to be her boyfriend. not a friend that was a boy, an actual boyfriend. if only she were lucky enough. "fine, but next time i pay for you, deal?" natalie said. no matter what he said, natalie would do it anyways. she looked at the sheperd's pie. natalie was always willing to try new things, though it took a while to convince her. since it was lorcan asking her though, it took her a good five seconds. she went for the fork at the same time that lorcan placed it in front of her, which resulted in natalie grazing his hand with her own. natalie quickly pulled away, hoping the embarrassment wasn't obvious in her face. she felt like such a love-struck girl. actually, she felt worse, she felt like a shy love-struck girl.
how was it that she could tell anyone else about her feelings except the boy that actually matter. "okay, i'll trust you but if i hate it, then you're in trouble" natalie joked. she grabbed the fork and used it to pick up a huge part of the sheperd's pie. she wasn't the type to just get a little taste of it, if she was going to try something might as well try as much as possible. natalie put it in her mouth and chewed it, happy to say that it was better than anything she had ever tasted before. it was even better than burgers and that must be great considering that natalie loved burgers. "wow that's really good" natalie said as soon as she finished the piece in her mouth.

"fine, but next time i pay for you, deal?" Lorcan nodded slightly. "Deal," he lied. If he ordered the food, he was gonna pay for it. He wanted to be a gentleman and let Natalie be sure of it. He would do it all the time when they were dating, if that ever happened. Well, he could pay for her food in his dreams. A cloud and rain water served up just for her. Lorcan wasn't used to experiencing the feeling he had when he thought of Natalie. At least he wasn't acting like a nervous idiot. He felt as though he was playing it cool rather well. It would almost be easier to just act unusual so she'd get suspicious and ask him what was up. Then he'd spill his guts and live happily ever after with Nat. But that wouldn't happen. He felt very sure that she thought of him as only a friend, and if he told her he liked her, he'd get shot down and possibly lose one of the best friends he'd ever had.
Lorcan put his thoughts aside as he handed Natalie her fork. Her hand reached for the fork at the same time, and their hands gently grazed. When she pulled away, he didn't think much of it at all. He was brainless in situations like this. He was rather horrid at reading people. Even with such a slight touch, he felt the soft skin of her hand. And he wished it were his hand to hold, to kiss when they departed. The poor boy had never even had his first kiss. At that thought, he looked up at her lips. He glanced back down quickly in hopes of the glance going unnoticed. He watched her as she took her first bite of shepherd's pie. His face lit up as she didn't make any funny faces, and he realized she liked it. His thoughts were confirmed when she said so. He took a quick bite himself, savoring every flavor. "I knew you would" he said, looking up at her with a smile. "My mum makes a really good shepherd's pie." His mother grew her own garden with vegetables infused with certain magical and non magical chemicals. She'd always amazed him when it came to stuff like that.

natalie smiled, letting herself imagine that this was actually a date. it wasn't the perfect place, but she was with lorcan so that was perfect enough for her. even though natalie wasn't a girly girl, she did enjoy romantic gesture and perfect dates. she might have grown up with a clueless dad but that didn't mean she didn't know about things like that. thanks to a month's worth of romantic movies, she liked to think that she was an expert when it came to dating. sadly, it was just the opposite for natalie. she went through boys, like she went through . once a month, she always got a new pair. natalie wasn't extremely glad about it, and she had actually stopped dating for a while, only because she hoped that this would be the year that lorcan would notice her as more than a friend. hell, she would even be happy if she were the one asking her, but he was the first boy to make her nervous.
a million thoughts always ran through her head when she got the courage to ask him, all of them discouraging the young girl. the main thing that stopped her was their friendship. lorcan was the one stable boy in her life and losing him would be the worse thing to natalie. so she kept her mouth shut all this time. until today that was. natalie had heard about the dance and had promised herself that she would go with lorcan. she had gone through scenarios in her head of how she would ask him, and she had even thought about the rare chance that he might ask her. but natalie had never gotten the chance. well, till that moment anyways. she continued to eat the pie, leaving it all till the last minute because of her fear of rejection. she knew that she probably looked like a pig but at that moment, that was the least of her worries. "of course you would" natalie said.
he was one of the few people that knew everything about her. god, why did he have to be so perfect. "i would love to taste it one day" natalie continued, not realizing what she said till after the words slipped out. it seemed like nothing, but to natalie it was everything. many people had met their friend's parents, but lorcan wasn't her normal friend. he was the boy that she wanted to be with, the only boy who's parents she would actually like to impress. oh how lorcan cause her to be a mess. "hopefully they give this at the dance" natalie tried changing the subject. maybe if she was lucky, the mention of the dance would spark something inside lorcan that would cause him to ask her to the dance.

Lorcan grinned as Natalie continued eating the shepherd's pie. It made him happy to know her well enough to predict what she would or wouldn't like. he also knew she was a pretty big eater, considering she was slim. He didn't mind watching her eat; she was beyond cute no matter what she was doing. He was trying to remember when they'd first met, but he wasn't sure. He suspected it was in one of their first years at the school. They'd started out as just friends, but once he had finally hit puberty, he began seeing her differently, and he fell for her more and more over the years. He wished he wasn't socially awkward. It made things hard, but at the same time, he could see who his true friends were. Both of his parents had been awkward in different ways, and they were completely happy with each other, so Lorcan looked forward to making a girl very happy some day. And he really wanted that girl to be Natalie. It was times like these that made him want to learn legilimency. If he only knew how she felt about him, a huge weight could be lifted off his shoulders. he suspected she only liked him as a friend though. She was an outgoing and confident girl; she would've told him if there were feelings for him in her.
"i would love to taste it one day" Natalie had said in regards to his mother's shepherd's pie. That made him smile bigger. He imagined a meeting between Natalie and his parents. They would love her. The Scamanders found it hard to dislike anyone, and Natalie was such an amazing girl, he knew there would be no trouble with them meeting. He did wonder, however, what she would think of them. His whole family, including himself, was an odd bunch. Even though they had proof, many people didn't like to believe in some of the strange creatures his parents had discovered. Few people knew that there was no such thing as a brain fart. It was actually nargles buzzing in peoples heads. He didn't go around talking about stuff like that, though he wished people would be more respectful of his parents' research.
Lorcan's thoughts switched gears as Natalie said, "hopefully they give this at the dance." He hadn't even given much thought to the Halloween Ball. He had been to a few dances here and there over the years, but he was typically a wallflower at a party. He only went if he knew for sure his friends would be there for him to talk to. They almost always were, but if they had a date, he didn't want to impose. "Are you going?" he asked, hoping the answer would be yes. He only hoped she didn't have a date with someone else. He'd play along like he was happy for her, but it would crush him inside.
tagged, nat (: word count, 490 notes, i love these two! my plan is once they know each other's truly feelings, he'll open up a bit more (: credits, pic credit to hannah @ caution

natalie wished she could just rewind time and take back what she said. she had avoided looking right at lorcan because she was embarrassed. because of this, she missed the smile that was currently on the boy's face. she was too bus worrying about covering up this little slip of the tongue. it might have been easier if lorcan said something but he just stayed quiet. different scenarios were going off in natalie's mind. she imagined lorcan with a weird expression on his face, probably freaked out at the thought of nat meeting his parents. he was probably one of those boy's that only took girlfriends home. or took special girls home, not friends like natalie. especially not friends like natalie. she didn't even think she was good with parents. sure, she was a fun kid to have around but she wasn't the serious meet your parents type.
or at least she didn't think she was. now that natalie thought about, she hadn't met any of her friend's parents. she was usually the person that invited people into her home because she didn't like imposing on people. and here she was, practically shoving the idea of meeting lorcan's parents into his head. natalie was glad when he finally said something about the dance. natalie thought about. she had planned on going, but changed her mind about a dozen times. she was actually going to talk to roxie about going as a group until she realized that wasn't what she really wanted. what natalie actually wanted was for lorcan to plan something huge and over the top as a way of asking her to the dance. now, natalie had many other offers to go the dance. hell, she got asked before she even knew about the dance.
and anyone who knew natalie, knew that was big considering she knew about every party almost instantly. natalie had almost said yes to a couple of boys but it didn't feel right. just like it didn't feel right telling lorcan that she was going. what if he thought that she was going with another boy? "i'm not sure. i mean i want to go but i just don't have anyone to go with" natalie said, hoping that by some strange miracle, lorcan would pick up on her hints. she knew that was a long shot but nat didn't want to give up hope. it wasn't like she had anything to lose. except his friendship. damn, natalie really did get herself stuck in quite a rut. "what about you? is there a special girl that mr. scamander has his eye on" nat asked. if he said yes, well there could be the chance that he meant her. but he could also mean someone else.
natalie didn't want to get heartbroken, she really didn't. but she would never knew unless she asked. so she made a promise to herself. if lorcan didn't ask her by the end of this conversation, well she would have to herself. even if she could possible get rejected. natalie crossed her fingers that the latter wouldn't occur.

Lorcan realized he'd asked a very dumb question after he'd already asked. Of course she would be going... with a date. He couldn't be the only guy that thought she was incredible. In fact, he'd seen guys flirt with her before. It was hard to see, but he didn't think he had a shot with her anyway, so of course he didn't say anything. He never had the urge to curse somebody until he saw a guy trying to flirt with Natalie. Most of the time, she was polite and just sort of shooed them away. But she could get any guy she wanted; she was sure to have some tall, muscular Quidditch player taking her to the dance. Perhaps his only hope of going to the dance would be if Roxie didn't have a date. He liked her as a good friend, but Natalie meant something to him on a different level. He would gladly take all the one on one time he could get with her. He wished he weren't such a weenie and could tell her how he felt. Where is some Felix Felicis when you need it?
Lorcan opened his eyes wider in shock when she said she didn't have anyone to go with. He felt his heartbeat slow down now that the slight bit of anger he'd had was gone. A big sigh of relief filled his lungs, but he didn't let it out all at once. That would be suspicious, and he didn't want to figure out how to explain that. He contemplated telling her that he'd go with her, but before he could say anything, she said, "what about you? is there a special girl that mr. scamander has his eye on." Hmm, what to say? He snorted a laugh softly, shaking his head with a smile on his face. "Yes, but I'm not telling you who," he teased. If it hadn't been her, she would embarrass him to no end around that girl. He wasn't going to give her the specifics. After all, that was what he was trying to avoid; spilling the beans and embarrassing himself.

every passing second was making natalie regret her questions more and more. why couldn't she just keep her mouth shut and continue thinking that lorcan just didn't like anyone. now, she was going to find out that he had a crush on this girl and he would tell her that she was just amazing and all these wonderful things. and natalie would have to pretend that she was happy for him. how wonderful. god, what was she supposed to do if he asked her to help him ask the girl out? would she actually help him. of course she would, there was no way that she would deny lorcan the happiness he deserved. if only he could be happy with her. nat was about to bug him about who the girl was, but she wasn't sure that she actually wanted to know. she wanted to keep that hope that it could be her. it was a long shot, but the girl didn't want to lose hope. " fine, but i will get it out of you eventually" natalie lied.
she didn't like lying to him, but she didn't want to make it obvious that she didn't want to know. lorcan did know her better than anyone else, so not asking any questions was unusual for her. still, she was a curious girl and she had to play the part even when her curiosity did not arise. "so, you're not even planning on asking her to the ball" natalie asked? she knew the answer. lorcan would never be able to ask a girl out, the poor thing. if natalie hadn't fallen for the boy, she would have probably offered to do it for him. unfortunately, that was not the case and she would have rather he go with her than any other girl that probably didn't deserve him. natalie knew that at this point, she would be left dateless for the ball.
she would be anyways. so she did the only thing that she could. she took a risk. "cause if you aren't, i was thinking that maybe you could go with me.." natalie trailed off, waiting for lorcan's reaction. maybe she had made a mistake, but natalie had nothing left to lose. the boy she liked had eyes for another girl.
